On Friday evening, May 16, a Gala Concert marked the conclusion of the 15th jubilee edition of the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Making Competition. The event took place in the White Hall of the Poznań Bazar and gathered guests from Poland and abroad, all eager to discover the creators of the highest-rated instruments. COMPETITION RESULTS
The evening culminated in a concert by the Poldowski String Quartet, who presented the sound of the awarded violins. The program featured works by Irena Poldowski (daughter of the Competition’s patron) as well as the first movement of Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in A minor. The event was open to the public and streamed live on YouTube, where the recording remains available for viewing.
