The day following the conclusion of the Competition was marked by direct encounters between violin makers and the jurors, a celebration of the art of lutherie, and a moment of musical reflection. From the early morning hours, within the halls of the Museum of Musical Instruments in Poznań, participants of the Competition had a unique opportunity to engage in open consultations with the jurors. This session, reserved exclusively for the competing luthiers, allowed for personal dialogue, an exchange of experiences, and in-depth discussions on the construction details of their submitted instruments.
At noon, the ceremonial opening of the post-competition exhibition took place, showcasing the highest-rated instruments of this year's edition. The exhibition, open to the public until May 31st, highlights not only the technical excellence but also the artistic sensitivity of today’s master luthiers.
The highlight of the day was the evening concert Hommage à Wieniawski, organized by the Museum of Musical Instruments in the elegant White Hall of the Bazar Poznański. The performers included Finnish violinist Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch and pianist Monika Woźniak, a specialist in historical performance. The program featured works by Mozart, Schubert, Elsner, Kurpiński, and Wieniawski himself.
