In the second stage of the Competition, the jurors individually evaluate the instruments, awarding points to each violin. Luthiers focus on the level of craftsmanship, setup, the aesthetic quality of the varnish, and overall stylistic features. Musicians, on the other hand, assess the projection and timbre, articulation, balance of strings, and playing comfort, as well as other individual characteristics of the instrument.
